Sensofar Medical receives ISO 9001:2015 certification from SGS
Supplier of medical stent inspection systems, Sensofar Medical recently has completed requirements and documentation for ISO 9001:2015. In recognition of this, in January 2017 Sensofar Medical was awarded certification by SGS, one of the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification companies.
Commenting on this recent addition to Sensofar Medical’s growing list of awards and achievements, President and CEO Ferran Laguarta said:
Sensofar Medical has applied some breakthrough technology to the assisted inspection of medical stents, yielding innovative systems that greatly ease the issues of speed, reliability and traceability for stent quality control and quality management. For all of our customers, our systems are a game changer for their stent development and manufacture, so making our own quality management processes ISO 9000 certifiable was an obvious and absolutely necessary step.
For Sensofar Medical, the ISO 9001:2015 certification applies to the ‘design, production, distribution and technical service of inspection systems for implantable medical devices and components’. This definition helps establish the path for the development of additional inspection systems for other medical implant technologies.
